Sports betting firm SportPesa have entered into a partnership with the Kenya Tourism Board and Kenya Airways to promote sports tourism in the country.
This follows SportPesa’s partnership with Hull City, an English Premier League club, a venture which presents an opportunity to market Kenya as a sporting hub.
SportPesa CEO Ronald Karauri said football had joined the sports disciplines that have become the pride of Kenya.
“This presents an opportunity to promote our country with its unique wildlife and scenery through sports tourism,” he said during the announcement of the partnership at Kasarani Stadium, yesterday.
Following the firm’s partnership with Hull City, a select Kenyan side dubbed SportPesa All Stars will play a friendly match against the EPL side on February 27 at KCOM Stadium in England.
