RCS gaming has reported a new partnership with Kenyan's SportPesa which sees the betting company purchase 75% majority shareholding of Italian firm RCS Media Group.
This purchase sees SportPesa’s enter the Italian gaming market for the first time, despite being based in Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, the Isle of Man and the United Kingdom.
Notable outlets operating under RCS Media Group include Corriere Della Sera, La Gazzetta dello sport, El Mundo and the Spanish football newspaper Marca.
Details of the agreement have not yet surfaced but reports say that Sportspesa will run GazzaBet.it, an online sportbook.Adam Beighton, who is the head of the new Italian operation believes the partnership provides new opportunities for Sportspesa to showcase their culture to current and future subscribers the SportPesa culture.
