Financial bill stakeholders meeting that was held at a Nyamira hotel on Thursday ended prematurely after participants refused to leave citing 'peanut' allowances.
According to the stakeholders, organizers of the meeting short-changed them by paying less money as expected.
The 48 members were invited to participate in the forum and discuss the County Government proposed Financial Bill 2016/2017 and other related areas.
Pius Mokaya one of the stakeholders who attended the meeting said that the county development officer Paul Onyango who was to pay them between Sh100 and Sh300 according to the amount spent on transportation.
"Members have been paid up to Sh3000 to every member in such meetings, how comes he is paying us Sh100?" posed Mokaya.
In his defence, Onyango said that some of the stakeholders did meet the conditions to receive high payment.
"They didn't produce bus receipts for us to pay them according their areas of stay, I cannot account for the money they are demanding," Onyango said.
After consultations Onyango paid the participants them Sh1000 each.
