Photo/Standard.)An education officer in Nyamira County has asked teachers, parents and other stakeholders to support the new education system the government introduced.
On Friday, Nelson Sifuna said for the new education system to be successful, there is need for all parties to help the government in pushing the implementation of the new system.
“Teachers are ongoing being trained on the new system 2-6-6-3. I am calling on all education stakeholders in Nyamira County to help in sensitizing our people about the new system,” he said.
Sifuna urged those opposing the new system to visit his office for clarifications.
“I am aware that there are those opposing the new education system. My office is open to all who will need clarification and guidelines on how the new system will operate,” he noted.
He assured parents that children will not be harmed by the new education syllabus.
