Briefing the press at his Limuru office on Thursday area MCA, Joseph Murugami, said that there is a plot by the county government to sabotage the work of MCAs.

He accused Kiambu Governor, William Kabogo, of failing to recognize the role of MCAs adding that time has come for them to fight.

“We will not allow the Governor to intimidate and threaten us in public rallies,” said Muragumi.

The MCA said the county government is favouring ward administrators a move he said contravenes the constitution.

He added that MCAs are the representatives of the people at ward levels and not administrators.

Muragami said they will not sit down and watch being displaced by the sub county and ward administrators.

The MCA said they will write to the senate to complain if the county government will continue to hinder their roles.

Muragumi noted that leaders especially politicians must learn to respect each other’s role saying that they all represent the people.
