A reported Standoff is currently ongoing at the Pangani Police station.
This comes after Cord leaders Raila, Kalonzo and Wetangula insisted that they must see the detained Cord MP in their cells but orders from police IG Joseph Boinnet could not allow them access.
Also in attendance were Siaya Senator James Orengo, Homa Bay Women Rep Gladys Wanga, and Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero.
The six MPs detained at Pangani station over hate mongering include Moses Kuria, Kimani Ngunjiri, Ferdinand Waititu, Timothy Bosire, Johnstone Muthama and Junet Mohammed.
One of Muthama's lawyers Simon Ole Kamwaro said the senator is not feeling well and complained bitterly about being denied access.
"Every Kenyan has the right to see their lawyers, I have been kept for more than an hour here while the police are just pulling public relations tricks," said Kamwaro.
Meanwhile, a pro-Cord crowd chanted outside the station with placards, demanding an unconditional release of the Cord MPs.
The Cord leaders have however adamantly refused to leave the station until they see the legislators. Daily nation, www.naion.co.ke
