The Star newspaper writer Eric Oloo was on Thursday roughed up by presumed procured goons who beat him.
Oloo sustained wounds in his jaws and his tooth was split in what seemed, by all accounts, to be an all around arranged assault.
As per the reporter, he had gone to cover Nyanza NASA presidential crusades headed by Siaya Representative Cornel Rasanga and Siaya Congressperson James Orengo at Mwer exchanging focus on Tuesday evening when he was assaulted.
Rasanga's chief of correspondence Bonny Odinga denounced the occurrence. Odinga denied the young people were associated to the senator.
"The issue is under scrutiny. We need police to build up if the aggressors are our supporters or not," Odinga said on the telephone yesterday.
Oloo, who was in the organization of the Siaya province KNA department boss Philip Onyango, landed at the scene along the Siaya-Nyadorera roadway and met some mean-looking goons.
Oloo said the instigator stood up to him and requested to know why he was composing negative articles, which evoked verbal confrontation that turned into a web sensation via web-based networking media.
They singled out a story distributed in the Star on Tuesday where Representative Rasanga asked Rarieda MP Nicholas Gumbo, who is looking to expel him, to accuse his mom for wedding his poor father, consequently his misery in adolescence.
