Starehe Girls Center on Monday clinched an international global energy award putting Kenya on the map in regards to environmental conservation.

The institution won the Zeyed Future Energy Prize in the Global High Schools category.

The award ceremony was hosted in Abhu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.

The award is part of an initiative by UAE leadership commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Energy.

The prize seeks to recognize pioneers in the fields of renewable energy and sustainability.
