Kisumu All Stars head coach Nickanor Aketch is confident his charges will register their first win in the National Super League (NSL) against Eldoret based GFE 105 on Saturday.
The two teams will face each other at the Kisumu’s Moi Stadium on Saturday February 2018 in the third match of the 2018 NSL campaign.
“GFE 105 is not a small team, it has been around for sometime but we are focused on beating them,” the coach said in a phone interview with a Hivisasa writer on Monday.
Kisumu All Stars is yet to register a win in the league. The team famously known as the Blue Eagles drew the first match 0-0 against Nakuru Based St. Josephs FC two weeks ago.
Over the weekend, Kisumu All Stars fell 1-2 against Coast Stima in a match played in Mombasa.
The coach showed displeasure with the levels of officiating during the match against Coast Stima.
“I do not want to blame the referee but you ask anyone who watched the match. The referee was not fair to us. But all the same, we are looking forward to the next match which we must win,” said the former Harambee Stars player.
Kisumu All Stars replaced Palos FC in the NSL. The latter withdrew from the second tier league at the end of the 2017 season due to financial constraints.
