After overcoming an early exit scare in the ongoing Cecafa senior challenge tourney, national soccer team Harambee Stars have now been urged to go ahead and bag the ultimate price.

Stars finished top of Group A with eight points after managing two wins and two draws in their preliminary matches and will now square it out with Burundi in the semi finals next week Thursday.

Former Stars head coach Jacob 'Ghost' Mulee said that Kenya has since proved its mettle and should storm to the tourney's finals and reclaim the trophy which they last held in 2015.

"It us definitely going to be a tough match,Burundi have been playing well in this competition and were a hard nut to crack.Their qualification to the semis proves a lot about their quality. But again,Kenya has done fairly well though there is still lack of cohesion in the team,a factor that is understable", he said.

"Well, with qualification to the last four and having players like Ovellah Ochieng and Vincent Oburu who can give you something when needed might help the team. And with the team qualifying for the semis, fans will definitely turn out in large numbers and cheer the team all the way to the finals", he added.

The former Tusker FC coach is credited for having led Stars to their African Cup of Nations (Afcon) in 2004 in Tunisia after a long absence.
