The match is among the series of friendlies the national team has organized as they prepare to tackle Ghana's Black Stars in an African Cup of Nations qualifier on March 23,2018 in Nairobi.
According to head coach Stanley Okumbi,the match will also come as a gift to several homegrown players most of whom will geta chance to showcase their abilities in the absence of several international players.
Among the missing players in Okumbi' list include among others captain Victor Wanyama,Ayub Timbe and prolific striker Michael Olunga.
However some of the players who accompanied the team to Maputo expressed the importance of the match and stressed the need to win it.
"This match is very important for us because it will help us gquge our strength.We shall all try our best to win the game", said New York based David 'Cheche' Ochieng.
