Jubilee Party secretariat boss Raphael Tuju has told the National Super Alliance (NASA) coalition to forget the October 26 presidential election and start planning for the 2022 one.
Speaking at the Multimedia University on Sunday after the training of 823 agents and lawyers, Tuju said that the scheduled election will take place and that President Uhuru Kenyatta will win 'again'.
He dismissed claims that NASA supporters will cause chaos and prevent elections from taking place, adding that the government will ensure law and order is maintained on the said date.
“The law requires the IEBC (Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission) to open its polling stations at 6am. Anybody who tries to disrupt voting in any way commits an offence and is liable to a jail term of five years.”
“If anyone thinks they can benefit from an illegality, what law is that? Our competitors are in a corner,” he added.
