Korane says that Jama will not survive the political wave that is coming on August 8.

Addressing supporters at Garissa Town on Sunday, the Jubilee governor hopeful said that Jama has lost touch with locals and should prepare to go home.

Korane claimed that Jama has been a big disappointment to Garissa people for the last four years.

“My advice to Governor Jama is for him to write his concession speech and prepare to hand over the county government to me on August,” he said.

Korane said that Garissa people are yearning for change adding that he is the best suited candidates to end their troubles.

The Jubilee governor hopeful said that he has the experience to take over from Jama. He promised to address key issues facing residents in the fast 100 days if elected.

Korane has been exchanging public spats with governor Jama in the recent days.

Governor Jama is seeking re-election on Wiper party ticket but faces stiff competition from Korane.

Jama has recently been embroiled in tag of war with the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) over corruption allegations.

Last week, the EACC accused Jama of allegedly delivering Sh5.3 Billion from county coffers to his personal account.

Governor Jama however rubbished EACC claims terming it propaganda and a plot to malign his name ahead of the August 8 polls.

Jama has since threatened to sue EACC and a local Daily newspaper for defamation.

The Garissa governor says that he has perfumed and exuded confidence to being endorsed by locals for a second term.

Garissa senator Yusuf Haji’s young brother Bashir Haji is also in the race to send Jama packing.

Bashir is vying on the Amani National Congress (ANC) party.
