State House has cancelled The State of The Nation address.
The address by President Uhuru Kenyatta was scheduled for Thursday evening in parliament.
Since being elected into office in 2013, President Uhuru Kenyatta has held the address in March.
State House spokesperson Manoah Esipisu disclosed that an announcement would bemade on the new date.
“We have not planned for one but anytime we plan we must notify Kenyans,” he stated.
It is not clear why the event was pushed to a further date even though it is understood that President Uhuru Kenyatta has left the country for Mozambique.
The cancellation comes at a time when the government is on the spot for disobeying court orders regarding the deportation of lawyer Miguna Miguna.
