State House Spokesman Manoah Esipisu responded to claims that President Uhuru Kenyatta snubbed former Nigerian leader Olesegun Obasanjo.
Speaking on Sunday, Esipisu said that the claims are not true.
Media reports had indicated that the United Nations had send Obasanjo to Kenya to quesl the political tension between President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga.
The reports further indicated that Obasanjo was to meet Uhuru and his Deputy William Ruto but they snubbed him.
However, Mr Esipisu dismissed the rumors and affirmed that there was no such request from Mr Obasanjo.
"No meeting was requested so it follows that none was granted," Esipisu remarked.
However, an official with the Nigerian Embassy noted that the former Head of State arrived in the country for a private visit.
"The former Nigerian President was here, he came and left immediately and was here on a private visit," the official stated.
Reports alleged that Obasanjo met with NASA leaders privately.
