The meeting at the State House on Tuesday between President Kenyatta, his deputy Ruto and Cord leaders, Raila Odinga and Moses Wetang'ula was totally a waste of time.

The reason as to why the meeting was a waste of time is because the Constitution is very clear on how the country should be ruled and every leader and citizen should adhere to the rules in the constitution.

Constitutionally, the law guides us on how to solve problems surrounding us for example, the IEBC issues and elimination of IEBC commissioners from office.

Cord leaders have been noted saying that the government through President Kenyatta bowed to pressure and decided to call them to talk about the IEBC issues so as to find an amicable solution.

Cord is taking advantage of the situation to give the impression that the government has not initiated any tangible projects to improve the lives of Kenyans.

Jubilee should look for strategies to handle issues from opposition leaders instead of holding meetings only to have tea. The advisers attached to the president are after their own agendas. They have nothing to do with IEBC issues.

Despite the meeting, we have seen Jubilee leaders and Cord leaders with firm stands on the IEBC issue. As Kenyans, we thought the meeting will bear fruit but from the look of things, nothing is going to happen.

Let us be keen on our political support and as we approach general elections in 2017 we should preach and spread peace among ourselves.
