Mudavadi claimed the government is issuing the IDs only to regions where there are Jubilee supporters, the Star has reported.

He also took issue with the government over the failure to deal with claims that there are foreigners taking part in the ongoing mass voter registration.

"Only Kenyans are allowed to vote. The move by the government to register foreigners with IDs and as voters will not be allowed," he said as he wound up his tour of Trans Nzoia County.

The former deputy prime minister said he will seek the presidency under the proposed National Super Alliance (NASA), noting that he was the best bet to oust President Uhuru in the August elections.

He was accompanied by MPs Ayub Savula (Lugari), Yusuf Chanzu (Vihiga) and former Agriculture minister Kipruto Kirwa.
