Turkana governor Josphat Nanok has accused the Jubilee administration of using relief food to allure the region's voters ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
Speaking in Lodwar on Monday, the outspoken governor further accused the government of failing to adequately mitigate effects of drought and famine that has desolated the region.
"When we were affected by drought, the national government leaders never came to rescue us," he said.
"The only thing that Jubilee has done is to deceive the people of Turkana. It does not deserve a single vote in August," he added.
Nanok also took a swipe on the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, accusing the electoral agency of irregular appointment of returning officers and their deputies.
The governor has been a fierce critic of the Jubilee government.
