The Juja MP Francis Munyua has said that the state of infrastructure in Juja area is set to improve as his office has set up strategies on how to counter the poor condition of the roads, water and sewerage systems, and bridges among others.
He added that he has directly approached Governor William Kabogo to ensure that they partner in developing Juja sub-county; he added that Juja has been lagging behind because the local leaders are more into politics than development.
Juja CDF office is from next week set to utilize Kshs. 4.5 million in the construction of a modern bridge at Zone T Juja farm along Gatongora road after the bridge collapsed while a lorry was crossing through.
According to the MP, the bridge will enhance the transportation of farm produce among other things from Juja farm to other parts of the sub-county to ensure that the residents get a ready market.
He added that the traffic police through the Juja OCS Luke Odiwuor are taking charge over the temporary bridge to ensure that no overloaded vehicle will pass through the area to avoid any similar accidents.
