Wamatangi told reporters on Wednesday at Kanyiriri grounds in Kabete that the government will cater for every expense. He said that late MP must be given a befitting burial since he was a unionist who worked to liberate the rights of workers.

“We have put in place appropriate plans in readiness for the burial of George Muchai,” said Wamatangi.

The senator at the same time asked the public and the media to stop speculations on the killing of the MP and allow investigators to conduct their work. He said that assertions in some media outlets in some dailies are misleading adding that the police will give comprehensive report.

A requiem for the late MP is currently ongoing at the Kanyiriri ACK church in Kabete.

And condolence messages continue flowing with Nakuru Deputy Governor Joseph Ruto calling for speedy investigation into the assassination.

Speaking on Wednesday, Ruto said, “We condole with the family and friends of the late George Muchai who was a champion for workers’ rights,” said the deputy governor.

He urged the government to unravel the death and bring the culprits to book for justice to be done.

The deputy county boss further appealed to the government to streamline security and firmly deal with criminals.
