The retreat will be the third to be held since the Jubilee government took over power. It is set to take place from Sunday to Tuesday next week at the Great Rift Valley Lodge in Naivasha.

This was confirmed by the Statehouse spokesperson, Manoah Esipisu.

The president targets to use the meeting to address matters arising in the government and evaluate what the government has achieved and what it has not. He will also discuss how to achieve what his government has not achieved.

‘‘The president will use the meeting in reviewing, reflecting and planning of priority areas in government. This will help him achieve efficient services. So I believe it is a healthy retreat,’’ said Esipisu.

The cabinet will also review the budget of next years’ financial year during the meeting. The members who attend will also review the governments’ performance.

The president will have to check how he will get and allocate other resources to fund the projects he promised to do in the Jubilee manifesto in the 2013 presidential elections.
