Speaking to reporters at Naivasha over the weekend, Karanja raised concerns over insecurity cases in some parts of the country.

She indicated that escalating insecurity would hamper the country’s investments if not addressed on time.

“The State must move quickly and ensure there is more conducive environment to promote investments,” she said.

The CEO said that the government must regain its peace and stability for socio-economic development.

She asked the private sector to partner with the government as it seeks to promote security.

Karanja further asked for more measures to be taken to promote transparency and curb corruption in the liquor industry.

“Existence of rogue liquor makers has eroded the once lucrative industry. We need more policies to deal with illegal brewers,” she said.

Karanja observed that the industry loses over Sh70 billion yearly to illegal brewers adding that the government must intervene and deal with illegal operators.

At the same time, Karanja asked motorists across the country to desist from driving while under the influence of alcohol.
