Rongai lawmaker Raymond Moi has appealed to the government to investigate and deal with land grabbers across the country.
Addressing residents at Kuresoi town on Sunday, the MP said land grabbing is rife in most parts of the country, including Rift Valley.
Moi said the government must firmly deal with anyone found to have grabbed public land.
“The government must quickly and firmly take action against those who grab public property,” he said.
The MP observed that public property should be respected and used to benefit the people.
He said that anyone who grabs public property is an enemy of development and must be dealt with accordingly.
Moi further asked the county government to collaborate with the national government to crack the whip on grabbers, as well as address land injustices once and for all.
He said that land injustices continue to fuel animosity among some residents in Rongai Sub-county and adjacent towns.
The MP on the same note urged locals to maintain peace and forge together for development.
He asked the sub-county administration to focus on development and improve the living standards of the people.
