Speaking to the press at Machakos town on Thursday, Kitheka said the government has all the resources to fight terrorism and general crime.

He said that terrorists should not be given room to cause problems in the country.

“The government must enhance the crackdown on terror elements in the country, we should never allow terrorists to cause divisions among us,” he said.

The MCA said terrorism is a threat to development and peace and that all stakeholders must join hands.

He urged security agencies to collaborate and share information that will help fight terror agents.

Kitheka intimated that time has come for Kenyans and leaders to join hands against terror. He pleaded with the opposition leaders to support the government instead of criticising it.

The MCA stated that the lives and safety of Kenyans is much more important than personal interests of politicians.
