Nyamira County leaders have called on National Government to work closely with the county governments to enhance security country wide.

Speaking on Saturday at Risa Primary School grounds during the funeral service of Susan Onyinkwa, a Garissa University College attack victim, Nyamira County Women Representative Alice Chae said the collaboration between the two governments will help to enhance security.

“I want to urge the National Government to work hand in hand with county governments to boost security in the country,” said Chae.

She added that it is only through close relationship that there shall be peace in the country.

Victor Ogeto, a politician from Kitutu Masaba in Nyamira County, donated 30 seats to Risa Primary school as a way of remembering Onyinkwa.

Onyinkwa was the first person from Risa village in Gesima Ward to join university.

Other leaders present at the funeral were Kitutu Masaba Member of Parliament Timothy Bosire and former Kitutu Masaba MPs Walter Nyambati and Mwancha Okioma.

The leaders urged Kenyans to embrace one another and avoid being divided in basis of religion, tribe or politics.
