The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party has protested the appointment of President Uhuru Kenyatta as Global UNICEF Ambassador in Youth Empowerment.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by the party's executive director Oduor Ongwen, the Orange party noted that massive youth unemployment in Kenya and the sexual, physical assault and killing of children during last year’s election had happened under Uhuru's watch. ODM now wants UNICEF to offer an apology to the affected Kenyans.
