Former Lands Cabinet secretary Charity Ngilu Wednesday challenged the opposition to stay united if they want to win the August polls.

Ngilu was speaking in Kyuso ward at Kimangau and Twimyuo as she interacted with residents.

Ngilu is seen to be strategically allying herself with the opposition after leaving the Jubilee coalition. She also asked residents to register as voters and vote for her, promising to deal with basic problems that Kitui residents face such as food and water shortage.

She also promised to tackle the Health crisis facing the county by equiping hospital facilities nearby.

Ngilu promised to build a university in Kyuso and ensure the young people of Kitui get jobs so that the overall economy of the county is improved.

She promised to tackle agriculture by giving subsidized fertilizer and quality seeds to residents to end perrenial food shortage.
