Kisii County governor James Ongwae has warned county workers against engaging in corruption among other illegal dealings.
The ODM governor said his government will not condone corrupt workers to taint his name.
He said county workers must maintain high levels of integrity.
"I am committed to ensure public resources in the county are not wasted by anyone. Any county worker who intends to misuse or misappropriate funds should resign because I won't spare him or her. County funds should be used to fund various development projects in the county which are beneficial to our people," he said.
He assured that county tenders should be awarded fairly without descriminating anyone and more tenders will be given to youths.
"Allocation of tenders in the county will be free and fair. No one will be authorized to favor his or her relative to benefit from county tenders. Youths are encouraged to apply for the various tenders once advertised," he said.
He called on county MCAs to utilize county funds once sent to wards to develop their areas without diverting the funds to their own pockets and projects.
He was speaking on Friday at Itierio primary school, Bonchari sub county during the celebration of Madaraka day.
