Kisumu-based Western Stima rallied from a goal behind to beat Gor Mahia 2-1 in their Kenya Premier League (KPL) match staged at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu on Sunday April 2.

This was Stima's first win of the season.

Jacques Tuyisenge had earlier given K'Ogalo their first half lead from the spot but Stima rejuvenated themselves in the second half to bag the points and money.

It would be Fredric Shimonyo striking twice to hand the power-men the much needed win in front of the Gor Mahia masses.

Shimonyo's first came from the spot in the 67th minute after Habert Kopany was brought down in the territory.

The teams would then play at a 1-1 level until the 82st minute when Shimonyo rose to head in from a set piece, leaving the duel to end at 2-1 for the hosts.
