Coach Richard Makumbi’s side won the tight match played at the Kisumu’s Moi Stadium 1-0 courtesy of a first half goal from Dan Otie who was granted a rare start by Coach Makumi.

Bidco United Coach Leonard Saleh introduced Collins Marita for Austine Etemesi and John Walibuka for Geoffrey Oginya early in the second half with eyes trained on salving at least a point in the match, but tactical changes made by his Stima counterpart thwarted his dream for a comeback.

The two teams headed into the match tied on the log with 14 points apiece, with Bidco enjoying a superior goal difference.

The win moves Stima up the KPL log with 17 points after 8 rounds of play.

The former Kenya Premier League (KPL) side has won five matches, drawn two and lost 3-1 against Nairobi’s Kibera Black Stars.

Bidco United will drop to third on the log incase Kibera Black Stars registers a win in its match against Nairobi City Stars.

Western Stima is aiming at making a quick return to KPL after being relegated last year, alongside Muhoroni Youth.
