Speaking at a media briefing in Nairobi when he cautioned Kenyans to be extra vigilant following Turkeys and Malindi terror incidents, he said that police were on high alert looking for the perpetrators.

"Police officers are always dispatched to deal with such crime nationwide, and they won't put up with people who engage in hate speech which might lead to peace destabilization in the nation," said Boinett as quoted by the standard.

This comes in the wake of heightened tough measures against those spreading hate speech amongst the Kenyan population, with eight legislators recently put behind bars and are awaiting charges in a court of law.
