The officers, speaking at Baraget forest where they were searching for cows that were stolen last week, confirmed that they were confident that those involved in cattle theft will be seized to face prosecution.

Albert Njoroge, a mixed farmer in Molo, narrated how cattle rustlers entered his home past midnight on Monday and managed to drive away his grade cows.

He said he feared that the suspects would harm him if he raised an alarm although he managed to call ASTU officers an hour later.

Kiarie was overjoyed when the officers, following crucial leads, called him and notified him that the stolen animals had been traced to Baraget forest.

He said he was shocked since it is rare for stolen animals to be recovered in Molo. He added that he had already given up and even urged the officers to quit the search.

Two suspects were also seized after they were found grazing the lactating cows in Baraget forest nearly a week after they were taken away by armed cattle thieves.
