Two people were arrested at Maseno on Wednesday morning after a number plate of a stolen motorbike was found in their garage.

 The two suspects identified as John and Clement run a motorbike garage at Mabungo area.

An unidentified person spotted the familiar number plate and notified the owner of the motorbike who resides in Luanda.

Evans Luvanda, the owner of the stolen motorbike, showed up at the scene accompanied by officers from Maseno Police Station.

The two suspects were then arrested for being in possession of part of a stolen motorbike, and are being held at Maseno.

According to Evans, three people invaded his Luanda home three months ago and escaped with the motorbike.

During the incident, his wife was allegedly injured on her right thigh as the thugs tried to chop it off.

“This motorbike was stolen three months ago by unknown people. They threatened my wife not to make any sound. I was away in Nairobi,” said Evans.

Maseno OCS Mr K. Langat said the two suspects will be arraigned at Maseno Law Court today.

“The two will help with investigations to find out the thugs who stole the motorbike,” said Langat.
