A stolen mobile phone has been recovered after the owner threatened to visit a witchdoctor to punish those who stole the phone.
Enock Akwaro said that it is after he sent word around that he would visit a witchdoctor to punish those who stole his Sh12,000 Samsung phone that the mobile phone was returned.
“I know many people are aware of the current trend where victims of crimes have opted to visit witchdoctors to punish thieves. So I passed word around that I was going to consult a witchdoctor who would make the suspects eat grass,” he said.
According to Akwaro two suspects entered a local pub where he was drinking in the company of other patrons in Teachers Estate at around 7pm on Thursday before one of them snatched his Samsung phone.
He said one of the suspects had greeted some of the patrons who were seated near him and in that confusion the other snatched his phone.
“The pub attendant saved the second suspect from the wrath of patrons after he argued that he was on his own and didn't have any knowledge of the thief. Investigations later revealed that the two were accomplices,” said Akwaro.
Akwara said that he received back his phone Friday evening through the pub attendant.
