According to Constable Morris Agwata, the vehicle without number plates was recovered near Kipkebe tea estate when area residents reported to police that it had been parked at the scene for over 24 hours.

“We were hinted by concerned residents after they got suspicious of the vehicle after anonymous people had parked it in the scene and abandoned it for many hours,” he said.

He said the vehicle had no log book, making it difficult to establish the owner and called for whomever with information to report at Keroka police station where it will be parked.

“We are unable to recognise the owner since it has no log book. We have gotten in contact with Keroka OCPD who has permitted us to take it there for identification,” he added.

A witness, Evans Ndemo, said the vehicle was parked at the scene late Friday afternoon by three heavy bodied men before they vanished.

“I saw three muscular men parking it before leaving late evening on Friday. We thought they were residents of this place only to find the vehicle still parked the following morning and subsequently alerted the authorities,” he said.

Keroka OCPD John Langat confirmed the incident and said investigations were ongoing to establish the circumstances that led to the incident.
