Leaders have been urged not to politicize the lifestyle audit exercise that was declared by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Nakuru based Midrift Human Rights Network CEO Joseph Omondi said the move will help fight corruption.
Omondi said politicians should not start blame game.
“It has now come back to which side is looting more than the other with all the blame games which are just unnecessary sideshows. Let everybody declare their wealth and undergo the lifestyle audit regardless of your political affiliations,” he said.
He also accused politicians of trying to distract the public from the scams being investigated.
“We want now to be very clear there is NYS and now the issue of the contraband sugar. We want to address these issues without distracts and just as the president said if you are found guilty then you carry your own cross. Politicians trying to bring the issue of 2022 politics and the political parties into these are just distractions,” said Omondi.
