The Jubilee governor says that it is too early for politicians to start campaigning and lobbying for 2022.

In an interview with a local daily on Monday, Twaha said that politician's need to concentrate on serving Kenyans and not campaigning for 2022.

He said that the country is slowly being turned into campaign mood warning that if politicians do not stop, then development will not be realized.

“We must be fair to Kenyans and serve them for the period they have elected us before we can think about the 2022 general election,” he said.

Twaha said that the country is yet to recover from last year’s prolonged election period.

He asked Kenyans to demand services from their elected leader's and kick out those campaigning for 2022.

The governor asked President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga to tame their politician's and force them to work for Kenyans.

Meanwhile, Twaha has lauded the unity talks between Uhuru and Raila.

He wants the two politicians to move with speed and implement their pledge for a united country.

Uhuru and Raila met last month and vowed to unite and reconcile the country after last year’s divisive general election.

However, there are political murmurs across the divide over their delay in initiating the reconciliation process.
