Kitui south MP Rachel Kaki Nyamai has warned governor Charity Ngilu against ‘badmouthing’ her.

The Jubilee MP alleges that Ngilu is talking ill of her because she (Nyamai) supports President Uhuru Kenyatta.

According to the MP, Ngilu feels threatened by her influence in the county and allegedly wants to tarnish her name through bad talk.

Nyamai claims that Ngilu’s verbal political attacks targeting her are in bad faith.

The MP refutes claims by Ngilu that she (Nayamai) barricaded roads and prevented the governor’s convoy from visiting her constituency on Monday during the launch of ‘Ndengu Revolution’.

The Jubilee MP says that Ngilu’s allegations are malicious and meant to create enmity between their supporters.

“Ngilu’s accusations are baseless and insensible because I cannot in my right sense prevent my people from getting help from whichever quarter,” she said as quoted by Kituionline.com.

The Jubilee MP said that she respects Ngilu but will not give her space to tarnish her name.

“Ngilu is my political mentor and a mother to me but she has to respect me so that we can work together for the interest of our people,” she said.

Nyamai, a staunch supporter of president Uhuru Kenyatta said that she will not be intimidate by Ngilu and others for supporting Jubilee.

Nyamai ditched Ngilu’s Narc Party and joined Jubilee party.

She was re-elected as Kitui south MP on Jubilee ticket in the recently concluded general election.

The MP is leading UhuRuto’s re-election campaigns in Kitui.
