Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has warned former Senator Hassan Omar against badmouthing NASA leaders Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka.

Joho claimed that Omar is on a mission to taint Raila and Kalonzo’s names after decamping from Wiper Party to Jubilee.

The Mombasa Governor now wants Omar to stop discussing NASA affairs and concentrate on his new party.

Speaking in Mombasa on Sunday during a NASA rally, Governor Joho said it is disrespectful for Omar to talk ill of Odinga and Kalonzo because they are the people who mentored him politically.

“Omar should keep off NASA affairs and stop badmouthing our top leaders and instead pick fights with us if he wants,” said Joho.

The county boss said Omar is bitter after unsuccessfully contesting for the governor seat in the August 8 general election.

Joho at the same time told off Omar over his claims that he (Joho) rigged the election.

The flamboyant Governor said he is not afraid of the petition filed by Omar challenging his re-election.

“I am ready for him anytime and Mombasa people will still decide and make their decision on who they want,” he said.

Omar has filed a petition in the Mombasa High court challenging Joho’s win in the August 8 polls.

The former Senator claims there were massive irregularities and malpractices in the gubernatorial election and wants the court to nullify Joho’s win.

Omar ditched Wiper Party three weeks ago and joined President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee party.

The former Senator during his exit claimed that Odinga and Kalonzo frustrated him in the opposition stating that he regrets having worked with them.

Omar has vowed to campaign for Uhuru’s re-election in the repeat presidential election.
