Muluka who is also the Amani National Congress (ANC) Party secretary general argued that begging will not see the Bungoma Senator reinstated.

The ANC Secretary General instead challenged Senator Wetangula to accept his ouster and strategize on a way forward.

Muluka said that the Ford Kenya Party leader is wasting time by begging and lamenting on his removal as Senate minority leader.

“I advise my brother Moses Wetangula to stop begging it will not help him at this time,” said Muluka, during an interview on KTN News on Friday.

Muluka asked the Bungoma Senator to seek other ways of cementing his political future.

He said Wetangula’s ouster will not be reversed, arguing that the manner in which his removal was crafted and presented was malicious and meant to embarrass him.

Wetangula was ousted as the Senate minority leader on Tuesday after eighteen NASA senators mostly from ODM voted to have him replaced with Siaya Senator James Orengo.

The Bungoma Senator's ouster elicited sharp reactions with a section of NASA affiliate parties blaming Raila for the move.

On Thursday, ODM party leader Raila Odinga and his Wiper counterpart Kalonzo Musyoka failed in their attempt to save Wetangula.

In a meeting that ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi skipped, Raila and Kalonzo are said to have failed to convince the senators on why Wetangula should be reinstated.

In a press briefing later, Raila said that NASA senators had agreed to retreat and discuss the matter at length and give the way forward.

Wetangula’s ouster is now threatening the unity of the coalition with a section of opposition leaders asking Senator Orengo to decline the position for the sake of the coalition's unity.
