Machakos governor Alfred Mutua has advised doctors to consider the welfare of the patients and go back to work.
Mutua who was speaking today said doctors have always been dedicated to serving Kenyans and should compromise for the sake of the Kenyans.
He, however, said that the health crisis shouldn’t be politicized adding that doctors are learned and highly trained personnel who shouldn’t behave like politicians.
“The health crisis has been politicized and allegations of politicians funding the doctors’ officials to stay rigid have emerged. Many innocent children have lost their lives as a result of the crisis,” he said.
Mutua conversely said that since health was devolved, the doctors should sit down with their respective governors and come to an agreement that will see them resume work.
