Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar has asked the Jubilee administration to stop blaming past leaderships for the corruption that has marred the country.
Speaking during a debate on Citizen TV Breakfast show, the senator asked the government to tackle the vice head-on, and shun from constantly blaming the previous regimes.
"When I hear this constant lamentations that corruption is deep-rooted, it is so because all those in office are deep-rooted in corruption," said Omar.
The senator asked the government to seek interventions rather than resort to the constant blame games.
"Nobody should come to government and blame it on President Moi, Kibaki or anyone else," he said.
"You should have taken audits of all projects and programmes to make certain interventions," he added.
