The Jubilee MP has instead faulted governors for allocating tenders to their families and relatives, losing huge sums of money in different corruption scandals.

"Most counties have been hit by corruption because governors have awarded tenders to their families relatives. Governors are the greatest enemies of devolution at the county level," Waweru said.

He urged governors to stop blaming the IFMIS to steal public monies.

"Corrupt governors should not hide behind the IFMIS. They should be held accountable for the lost money in the counties," he added.
