Nominated Member of Parliament Oburu Oginga has told President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto to stop looking for scapegoats to cover for their failure to deliver on their election pledges.
Oburu urged the Jubilee leaders to respect Kenyans and address their needs instead of continuously blaming everything on Cord leader Raila Odinga.
"Why should Uhuru and Ruto spend their time and energy discussing Raila? Corruption and tribalism in this government is not about Raila Odinga," said Oginga.
President Kenyatta and his deputy had on Friday during an event at Kasarani Stadium accused Raila of undermining Jubilee administration.
They said the former Prime Minister was fond of criticising the government and never acknowledged the huge strides realised in development. Oginga, who is Raila's elder brother, told Uhuru and Ruto to stop ‘poking their nose’ at the National Super Alliance (NASA) and instead concentrate on their coalition politics.
“Before advising the Opposition on how to operate, they should first clear the mess in their party. We can deal with our own issues,” Oburu said.
