Nyamira County Senator Kennedy Okong’o has told Education Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiangi to immediately stop breaking the education laws in the country.
Okong’o has said Matiang’i is using dictatorship to lead the ministry, something he termed as against the education laws.
Speaking on Thursday in Nyamira town, Okong’o said members of the national and senate assemblies can’t watch the CS continue breaking the education laws.
“We have been watching how the CS makes impromptu visits to different d institutions, banning parents from visiting the children in school, banning prayers for standard eight, form four candidates, we can’t allow him to continue to do such mistakes,,” noted Kennedy Okong’o.
“Parents have rights to visit their children in schools, prayers for their children are necessary among others, we can’t allow the CS to continue misleading the ministry,” added Okong’o.
Okong’o said he is one of the senate education members committee and they have planned to call him to the senate to explain why he is using the dictatorship in his ministry .
