Kakamega senator Bonny Khalwale and Funyula Member of Parliament Paul Otuoma have asked ODM party leader Raila Odinga to stay out of Western politics.

The two leaders, allied to National Super Alliance (Nasa) told the Nasa flag bearer to keep off from areas under their territory.

They accused the opposition leader of interfering with the political affairs of the Western region.

They said they support Raila’s presidential bid, but cautioned him from campaigning for the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) gubernatorial candidates in Busia and Kakamega counties.

“We shall support you for your presidential, but we don’t want you to campaign for your people who were rejected by their electorate and instead rigged themselves in,” Otuoma said.

The two politicians spoke, Saturday, in Tongaren during the burial of MP Eseli Simiyu’s mother, Rebbeca Nasimiyu.

Khalwale who is eyeing the Kakamega gubernatorial seat on a Ford-Kenya party ticket is expected to battle it out with incumbent Wycliffe Oparanya of ODM, while the Funyula MP will face ODM’s, governor Sospeter Ojaamong’ in the Busia gubernatorial race as an independent candidate.
