Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri has lashed out at a section of politicians accusing them of campaigning for 2017 General election at the expense of providing services to Kenyans.

Speaking at Bahati shopping centre today, Ngunjiri said politicians must stop their selfish ambitions and concentrate on serving the people.

He said that some, politicians have neglected their roles and are planning for the 2017 polls.

“It is shameful that some politicians who were elected by the people have abdicated their roles in favour of early campaigns,” he said.

Ngunjiri urge political leaders from Nakuru to focus on development and help uplift the lives of Kenyans.

The legislator stated that many locals are still living in abject poverty adding that the government must come up with realistic programmes.

AT the same time, Ngunjiri wants opposition leaders to support the Jubilee government realise its development pledges. He said that instead of opposition leaders criticizing the government they should join hands and promote development.

The MP said that politics has no permanent enemies and that all leaders represent the wishes of the electorate.

He however maintained that all politicians must s how respect and endeavour to conduct themselves in acceptable manner.
