Former CIC chairman Charles Nyachae has warned Kisii politicians who he claimed are using the family of the retired politician Simon Nyachae to gain politically in Kisii politics.
Addressing locals at Nyaribari Masaba Constituency during a fundraising to support the infrastructure of Nyanturago High School in Nyamasibi Ward on Friday, Charles urged politicians to engage in constructive politics and not attacking other people's families.
"I do not see the reason why politician each and every time accuse the family of Nyachae of failed leadership. I want to confirm that people are spreading propaganda to the people. My father did a good job during his time. People spoiling our family name are enemies of good leadership," said Charles.
He urged locals to desist from being misled by politicians who are using the family of Nyachae to benefit politically.
He defended the Omogusii unity talks movement and stated that the aim of the unity is to unite the people politically and not as claimed by opponents.
"No one has been forced to join the peace unity talks movement. All we know as members are that we have no selfish interests as claimed by a section of leaders who have sensed defeat in 2017 polls," he added.
