President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto have said Opposition leaders have no agenda for Kenyans other than discussing them in their rallies at the expense of selling their agenda to Kenyans.

President Kenyatta and the Deputy President lambasted the Opposition for lacking policies that could transform the country, resorting to “copy-pasting” what Jubilee is already implementing.

“Opposition leaders are clueless because they keep on discussing about Jubilee instead of telling Kenyans what they have for them,” said Deputy President Ruto.

Addressing wananchi in Nakuru town on Saturday, the President and his deputy said the Opposition had resorted to borrowing the Jubilee’s development agenda for the country because they have nothing new to offer Kenyans.

“Don’t be copy cats, come up with original ideas if you want Kenyans to take you seriously,” the Deputy President told the Opposition.

The leaders singled out the move by Jubilee to provide electricity to 6 million Kenyans and plans to make secondary education free when it wins the August elections as some of the initiatives that the Opposition has borrowed from Jubilee.

President Kenyatta said Opposition leaders lack the capacity to reduce the cost of living and change the lives of Kenyans, saying they failed to do so when they served in senior positions in the previous governments.

Deputy President Ruto pointed out that Opposition leaders have run out of ideas and had no option but to copy paste the Jubilee development agenda in their desperate effort to solicit support from Kenyans.

Reacting to sentiments by the Opposition leaders during their rally in Kakamega on Saturday that they will improve the lives of Kenyans if they win the August elections, the Jubilee leaders said the Opposition leaders failed to deliver when they had the opportunity to transform the lives of Kenyans.

“Opposition leaders are now thriving on propaganda and politics based on tribalism to achieve their selfish ends,” said President Kenyatta.

President Kenyatta urged Kenyans to reject individuals who had no agenda for the country.

MPs Kipchumba Murkomen (Elgeyo Marakwet), Moses Kuria (Gatundu South) and Ferdinand Waitutu (Kabete) said the Opposition should be prepared for a humiliating defeat come the August General Election.
