Former Kilifi North MP Gideon Mung’aro has asked the Coast region to wake up and stop being misled by opposition leaders.Mung’aro claimed that the Raila Odinga-led opposition does not care about the interests of the Coast region.Speaking to journalists in Malindi Town on Wednesday, the former ODM MP who decamped to Jubilee Party claimed that Raila has been using the region to bargain for power.He said Raila has never and will never care about the Coast region.Mung’aro accused the opposition of taking advantage of the fact that the Coast region is marginalised to push its selfish agenda.“It is time Coast residents and some politicians allied to the opposition realised that Raila has been playing them over the years and it is high time they shifted their allegiance,” he said.Mung'aro said Raila has over the years treated Coast politicians as ‘flower girls’.The former MP, who unsuccessfully contested for the Kilifi governor seat in the August 8 poll, asked Coast politician’s allied to NASA to wake up and stop being mistreated.He said the region will continue to suffer if it allows Raila and his allies to command and dominate everything.A section of Coast MPs led by Msambweni MP Suleiman Dori has threatened to ditch NASA affiliate parties over what they term as being sidelined on House leadership positions.The MPs want NASA top leaders to intervene over the matter, threatening to resist the coalition’s activities.Is there a newsworthy accident, incident or event happening in Mombasa County that you want Hivisasa to cover?
